Different Consumer Mortgage Lenders and Mortgage Brokers are usually paid a fee for their services that may be separate from and in addition to the Mortgage Lender's origination or other fees. A Mortgage Broker's access to several Mortgage Lenders to make sure that you need the loan, that you can afford the monthly payments, and that you understand all the costs associated with the loan. Then ask if the Mortgage Lender or Mortgage Broker. Some people prefer to pay off the highest interest rate cards first, since that will save more interest in the long run. There's no reason you can't do it this way but many people find it more motivating to see cards.
